Do You Have Knee Pain?
Join a Cutting-Edge Study.
Vantage Vascular has been selected as one of just over 10 U.S. practices nationwide chosen to participate in the RESORB clinical trial — a landmark, FDA-approved study evaluating a breakthrough non-surgical treatment for knee osteoarthritis. If conservative treatments haven't given you enough relief, you may qualify.
RESORB (Randomized Controlled Study Evaluating Genicular Artery Embolization Against Intra-Articular Corticosteroid Knee Injection for Osteoarthritic Knee Pain)
- Pivotal clinical trial enrolling ~126 patients across more than 10 leading U.S. clinical sites — Vantage Vascular is one of them.
- Compares Genicular Artery Embolization (GAE) with Nexsphere F™ to intra-articular corticosteroid knee injections for painful knee osteoarthritis, assessing safety and efficacy.
- Nexsphere F™: innovative resorbable microsphere technology that temporarily reduces abnormal blood flow in pain-inducing vessels around the knee.
- Microspheres dissolve naturally within 2–6 hours, targeting nerve activity responsible for osteoarthritis pain and delivering rapid, sustained relief.
- Widely used outside the United States — CE-MDD certified in Europe with thousands of successful procedures performed worldwide.
- In the U.S., Nexsphere F™ is available only through the RESORB clinical trial at authorized sites like Vantage Vascular.
- The trial is FDA-IDE and IRB-approved. Medicare-eligible patients may have coverage through CMS IDE Category B approval.
- Qualified participants receive the procedure at no cost.
Why Vantage Vascular?
Being named a RESORB trial site is not automatic. NEXTBIOMEDICAL selected just over 10 practices across the entire country based on physician expertise, imaging capabilities, and clinical track record. Vantage Vascular’s board-certified, Ivy League-educated interventional radiologists — specialists in minimally invasive, image-guided procedures — made us a natural fit.
For patients across Brooklyn, the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Long Island, and Fair Lawn, that means access to a nationally exclusive, cutting-edge treatment without leaving the New York metro area.
Who Can Participate?
You may qualify if you:
- Are an adult with knee osteoarthritis
- Still have knee pain despite medications or other conservative treatments for at least 2 months
- Are not currently planning knee surgery or knee replacement
- Can commit to the 12–18 month follow-up schedule
Participation is voluntary. If enrolled, you will be randomly assigned to receive either GAE with Nexsphere F™ or a corticosteroid knee injection. Participants initially assigned to the injection may have the option to receive GAE after 180 days.
